yeah I like the idea of both of them but I do not like that $4.6 what so ever.

 

Apparently Toronto is moving the C to Matthews tomorrow.

That will fix everything.

 

It's the highest they could offer without having to lose a first. And I think the idea of offering both was they don't think Edmonton could realistically match both unless Kane goes on IR.

But fuck stan Bowman, want them to lose both players. There's the gentleman's agreement among GMs to not do offer sheets, I like to think this is the blues management sending a middle finger to the oilers.

 

That's a good trade for MTL. Hope to see Laine rebound this year.

 

I think Laine sucks ass, but MTL takes a good chance there. Obviously hope the best for him too.

 

If he has a good rebound year they can probably get a good return for one year of him at 50% retained. Absolutely hate to hand it to them but Montreal did well here

 

Really hope he can move past whatever off ice issues plagued him and can manage to regain and maintain full health. 18/19 year old Laine genuinely had maybe the most disgusting wrist shot I've ever seen and it sucks we only got to see a couple seasons of it.
