If someone rents you a climate controlled space, am I wrong for interpreting that as climate controlled 24/7?

cause this space does not have central air or anything like that, it has portable AC machines - which, by themselves will get backed up with water and stop working, so I brought my dehumidifier (the space also gets humid in the summer so two birds one stone).

however the mf who runs this place literally unlocks my door and turns off my AC and dehumidifier when I’m not there, and I’m like wtf. Are you “climate controlled” as advertised, like a continuously centrally air conditioned storage space would be, or not? I turn everything else off, but keeping the AC and dehumidifier on imo is using the space as advertised.

I have multiple very nice and uncommon instruments made from very sensitive woods, they cannot just be exposed to heat and humidity all the time.

-a handwired 50th anniversary Vox amp with an unlacquered, raw wood mahogany cab (there’s only 200 of these in the world)
-a custom Telecaster made from the parts of 3 different kinds of Teles (including an older mahogany body and a raw rosewood neck and headstock)
-& I also just acquired a customized SJC drum kit from my last cover band drummer.

If the wood warps slowly over time on these things, none of them are really replaceable. So I’m kinda frustrated this dude wants to save like $5 a month on my $400 rent turning my shit off and leaving my gear in a hot humid room?? Like, I’d never store this shit in somebody’s garage. I don’t leave the lights on, I don’t leave my amps on or anything that uses a massive amount of power.
