“He’ll develop faster than Trevor Lawrence” I’ve never seen a dumber take lol. I mean it’s one thing to say that about Caleb Williams but AR is so clearly a project that it’s not a justifiable opinion.

Dude survived Urban Meyer… was a mature class act through the entire regime and stayed confident and motivated… and still arrived and proved that he has every bit of the potential people projected him to have before year 2 was over. In year two he had four multiple TD fourth quarter comebacks, and multiple games with over 75% completions.

Tbh I couldn’t be happier with how fast “good Trevor Lawrence” showed up considering the circumstances. He legit carried us to the playoffs. He took a subpar offensive line with a very low pass block win rate… and an off-brand WR corps with no true WR1… and made us look like an offensive team, leading us to our fewest sacks in over a decade and leading all 3 of our top receivers to the best year of their career lol.

To act like he didn’t develop extremely fast for a guy who got drafted by a two-years-straight worst team in the league, is to straight up ignore that Meyer ever existed and that the Jags were that bad merely months ago. And Richardson would have to be better than most of the best QBs of all time to develop “faster” than that

Cutler is one of my favorite QBs to ever play.

Watching him play well and elevate Vanderbilt was just really cool. He kept them in a lot of games against some SEC powerhouses. Nostalgia.

Now that I'm on the nostalgia train...

I tell this story to my players every summer. I taught myself how to throw the football watching David Carr vs. Wisconsin highlights. Like I could throw the ball, but I could't THROW the ball. He could switch between a three quarters motion and traditional. Growing up in a single parent home, I didn't have anyone to teach me so I'd record games on VHS and watch them over and over again.

My mom moved us into a duplex with brick siding and I'd draw target squares all over the wall with sidewalk chalk. I'd imitate his rollouts and throwing motion. Thankfully I was a little more slippery than him because of my Eric Crouch VHS tapes...

I made JV as an 8th grader. Grinding the tape since Day 1.
