Someone at trivia had a flip phone and got called out for it by the host and their response was that they want it to be satisfying to aggressively hang up on someone and I respect that

 

i did used to love an aggressive hang up on my motorola razr

 

now i just throw my phone straight onto concrete its a much more expensive action

 

Wtf severance pay gets Taxed way more aggressively than regular pay.

My regular checks had my federal withholding sat 9%. My severance pay had it at 22%!

 

yeah i think severance pay is looked at the same way a bonus or commission is, and not like a regular wage.

It's probably because you took it as a lump sum but I'm not a tax accountant.

But it will be included in your earnings for 2023 so if you were taxed too much in total you'll get it back in a refund.

 

I guess that would make sense if they offered me more than just another paycheck but I only got two weeks so I’d rather the extra $600 now please and thank you lol

I'm about to take off, I just wanted to use 6 hours of PTO instead of 8 and also get things done that I'd have to do on Wednesday if I didn't

 

yeah my office is closing at 2 and I'm getting free pizza, so whatever I guess

 

I might put down an hour or two of work today organizing files I have to send to my supervisor for our weekly updates on Wednesday, but it might maybe take me 30 minutes at most
