I also think I’d absolutely love LA’s restaurant/bar scene if I wasn’t in one of the more bougie neighborhoods

I’m big on having great hangout spots and food in my vicinity, I like to go out - even though I’m not the heaviest drinker, it’s the feeling & experience that I like

 

had korean bbq for the first time ever when i was there and no KBBQ i have had since has even come close to how good it was there

 

definitely fair.

It's probably my favorite tbh.

So far everyone I know from and in LA has said I live in like, one of the worst spots* haha. Same with where I work the first half of the week. Lots of gluten free options and somehow I'm staying in the one spot with minimal options

*within reason

 

Gotta watch out for the tourist spots more than the bougie shit. I got a latte at the bougiest coffee joint I've ever seen for $3.5 but motherfuckers charging like $4 per wing on the strip

It truly is amazing. They finally built one here in Des Moines.

 

man I remember I used to really like Buffalo Wild Wings when I was younger. It was my go-to spot when I wanted to watch the Jags with my dad

and then I started eating real wings and never looked back

 

oh BWW was a crucial period in my younger college days haha, thursday boneless nights were a nearly weekly occurrence. i still dont mind it, its perfectly fine gameday food if you dont wanna break the bank getting a ton of food from a better local place.

 

Nah but I did go to a local wing joint that was good

 

I’d still go if I lived in the suburbs, but damn is it great having like 5 pubs with excellently done gameday style fried / greasy food, and all the games within walking distance to me now lol

To be clear, I use the word “pub” to specify bars that have great food

 

If I don’t go there to eat it’s just a bar

if I look forward to ordering something on the menu it’s a pub

& it doesn’t have to be fancy food. They just have to do whatever it is they do RIGHT

Is Kislings a great restaurant, no. Their food quality isn’t that great lol. But are they a great pub, yes. Those are the most authentic Buffalo wings you can find outside of NY and their big ass burgers have great proportions and cook temp.

 

I thought a pub just meant it had a United Kingdom based theme to it lol
