I’m not homeless or dying so I’m not gonna start a kickstarter, but some folks have donated to my cashapp / Venmo (both tags are terrainofficial) & if I get enough small donations I might be able to mix that with whatever the junk salvage value of the car is, and get a new car now and worry about how I’m paying the financing and my other bills later

That’s definitely preferable to selling my gear if anyone feels like throwing a couple bucks. My music gear is the only valuable shit I own; and I’ve worked so fucking hard for over a decade to have what I need for a professional band. I targeted stuff that I’d never feel the need to replace so it would be a real bummer to sell it, especially my main guitar and amp which are worth the most but are also one-of-a-kind

I can’t afford a down payment myself but if I could then I can avoid bleeding a lot of other money from not having a car or a bike

All good man, I’ve seen how hard you’ve worked the past couple of years. Hopefully you can find a year-end sales event somewhere or something and get a car that is dependable. Not sure your budget but I saw some pre-owned Mazda CX-5s for around 10k in the Baltimore area. Should have enough room for your gear. Never have had any issues with the two Mazda vehicles I’ve owned. My first one I was at 140k in about 8 years.

Wish I could give more right now but we just had to upgrade Jameson’s car seat and stroller.
