he’s fine, probably would have slotted in as a starting CB this year, but it’s probably more significant from a football perspective that their CB room is now Kenny Moore, 3 2023 draft picks, a decent UDFA last year, and waiver fodder

Mainly just sucks that the dude grinded to go from from 6th round pick to potential starting CB and is now all but out of the league because of a stupid/preventable mistake, assuming the allegations are true and the league responds as one would expect them to

 

NFL gambling policy on other sports is dumb. There's basically nothing the NFL should outlaw that is legal except gambling on their own games. Same way their weed policy was absurd for decades.

but also I kinda both sides it in the cases that are less severe — the rules are overly strict for being something that they actively promote (although I understand needing to keep the optics of a clean sport to an extent) and also it’s dumb to engage in it when you know there’s vague rules against it when the upside is so small and the downside to accidentally doing something wrong or getting caught is all but career ending
