Caleb's play style is definitely Mahomes-like, for better and worse.

 

Ive seen the highlights of Williams, definitely some crazy stuff

but I don't know enough about the guy and his mental makeup/how much he loves the X's & O's etc

If he has that part of it in him I think he'll be fine in the end

I like him more than I ever thought I could like someone who played for both Oklahoma and USC. He's obviously incredibly talented but I think we were wrong to put him in the Lawrence/Burrow/Luck tier of the best of the best. I think he's a Giant so I think he'll still be very good, just after a ROUGH rookie season. It's just worth noting that the gap between 1 and 2 isn't a canyon.

Honestly it's even meaner cause he's not THAT much taller but he seems MUCH taller

 

it is and I’m trying to examine him in a way that’s more appropriate and doesn’t respond to the hype. Is he Mahomes, better than Trevor or Burrow, etc? No, and most drafts don’t have a QB that good so it’s not that surprising. That’s just people seeing his crazy arm and having very surface level understanding of the QB skillset. But he’s still a really cool prospect in a lot of ways and I’d also like to avoid responding with vitriolic criticism just because of the hype
