TBS was so bad at when we were young that I'll never see them again. Adam sang only 50% of the lyrics and John can't sing anymore in any capacity. Adam also had this weird southern pastor thing going on. Just a bad bad performance.

 

You know who's surprisingly not bad live? 5SOS. Took my sister to their concert and they actually weren't bad.

 

Anberlin has either been super mid or super great. Never in-between lol

 

yeah my experience with them (with sample size of 3) is that Stephen goes so hard on vocals or doesn’t manage it super well or something where if you catch them on an early date, it tends to be very good, and if you catch them towards the end of the tour, there isn’t a ton left in the tank and it shows

 

When I use dog water it’s the leftover bath water

The interesting, yet unsurprising, thing I learned about Stephen from Anberlin is that he’s endorsing conservative politicians and is supposedly MAGA too

 

It’s very “Chorus” of me to say this but The 1975 is the best live band I’ve ever seen, hands down

 

They’re absolutely incredible live

 

Oh that’s a lie, I saw Third Eye Blind headline a few years back and Stephan was beyond wasted and went on a long rant negging some ex he had from Nashville and that whole set was very uncomfortable

yeah went with my fiance when 5SOS toured with The Chainsmokers and was REALLY surprised how good they were

and then we left before Chainsmokers came on

 

Was this when they were on tour with Jimmy Eat World? I follow Zach Lind of Twitter and he was talking one day about how insufferable Stephen from 3EB was on their tour together

At this point the Menzingers are prob my favorite live band.

 

I've never actually known of anyone who listens to 5SOS which is fascinating, I'm not knocking them or disputing their fame at all, just surprised after all this time I haven't heard of someone listening to them

The show I saw was a one off radio show that was Third Eye Blind/Colony House/someone else that I’m forgetting circa 2016. Probably similar enough timing with that tour that I wouldn’t expect a radically changed Stephan in the time in between

 

This really does bum me out and does surprise me a bit.

But from the same scene, Relient K turned out pretty liberal and affirming, which I was pleasantly surprised by.

 

Yeah was very surprised how much I ended up enjoying their set. Now Charlie Puth? Garbage.
