I'd bring him in very happily on a 1 year, $25 million dollar deal where like $15 of that is incentive-laden. And then I'd draft McCarthy and let them compete.

i dont necessarily think its a matter of "who is still left in the league thats worse than he is"

its a matter of who is giving a 36 year old with a recently torn achilles a starting contract? the jets arent a good example because rodgers was here next year no matter what.

i wouldnt be surprised if there is a small market for kirk. there are gonna be new QBs in the league next year which means at least 3 or 4 guys starting now will be back ups elsewhere.

i dont think this is how he should go out but, it wouldnt surprise me at all.

 

kirk is a huge "gods plan" guy though so, who knows what he'll do

 

a team thinking they can fix 29 y/o carson wentz isnt the same as a team thinking kirk cousins with one achiles is still a good option

He’ll almost surely get way too much guaranteed money on a 2-3 year deal when FA kicks off, but I’d love the chaos of Cousins pulling a Patrick Kane and doing his rehab away from a team, only to be an actually viable FA QB still available during the middle of next season
