Also accountability time: alright I was at a 10 this morning in terms of, trying to double down on being loud about my team for once because I never get to… and I see that y’all are simply asking me to tone that down to a 6. I hear you, not gonna let some wins make me feel like I need to clap back about old shit.

sometimes it feels like my, often very consistent stances, are misrepresented in a revisionist way to point out some sort of hypocrisy, and that’s a pet peeve for me, but I should also recognize that no one’s keeping receipts and remembering what I said. It sucks that me trying to re-clarify just looks like me being combative and making excuses, but if that’s how it’s gonna be then there’s no point to give into that. I could also just not take the bait and just ignore needless “gotcha” posts that water down my actual argument

It's important to understand that everyone has different communication styles, and sometimes the urge to speak a lot or continuously might be due to various reasons. Here are a few possibilities:

    1. **Excitement or Enthusiasm:** Sometimes, when people are passionate about a topic or discussion, they can become very engaged and talkative. It might be that you're genuinely excited about the conversation or subject at hand.

    2. **Nervousness or Anxiety:** In some cases, excessive talking could be a way to manage nervousness or anxiety. People might speak more when they're feeling anxious or uncertain.

    3. **Desire for Connection:** Some individuals tend to talk a lot as a way to connect with others or to express themselves. It could be a means of seeking approval, validation, or establishing a connection.

    4. **Habit:** For some, talking a lot can be a habit or a personality trait. They might not realize they're dominating the conversation.

    5. **Difficulty in Active Listening:** Sometimes, people talk a lot because they're more comfortable speaking than listening. It might be challenging to switch roles during a conversation.

Understanding the underlying reasons can help in addressing or modifying the behavior. Additionally, being self-aware and making a conscious effort to actively listen and allow others to contribute to the conversation is crucial.

If you're comfortable discussing this with Josh, you might let him know that you're aware of your tendency to talk a lot and that you're trying to work on it. Also, you could ask for his understanding and support in finding a balance in your conversations. Active listening and giving others a chance to speak can significantly contribute to more balanced and fulfilling interactions.

The one thing I will say is most of us post competitively. We all say “5 straight wins baby” when our team wins 5 straight. We all say “stay salty” when people are posting a lot of “yeah BUT” posts about a good team. We all dunk on opponents that talked a lot of shit in the media. Literally we did the same thing when everyone was making fun of Patrick Peterson a couple weeks ago. That’s where I’m calling bullshit where I see it.

But, I still could be less loud about calling that bullshit and keep it to myself to avoid a dumb argument. I do take accountability for always saying the shit instead of just moving on cause it’s ultimately not that serious. I also take accountability for talking about the Jags too damn much in the first place and that’s why people are less open to me being lightheartedly boastful about them lately. It is what it is.
