When I can’t tell if this is the case or not, I usually turn the game on and watch. Purdy makes pretty touch throws, very early into his progressions. Sorta reminds me of how Doug Flutie used to have success. Maybe a little Chad Pennington. Those guys won playoff games with teams that weren’t exactly stacked. He has some skills that aren’t just “Deebo Samuel broke four tackles on a screen and McCaffrey is always open”

To be fair, even as a Purdy fan I still think it’s important to not “overdo” it. Yes, those of us in this thread are factoring in that he has elite weapons and line and his numbers are at least a little inflated, but even with that boost, most QBs still don’t be doing THIS good. There’s at least a 87-90 QB rating guy in there getting inflated to 110-120

 

Looked it up and Jimmy went 21/30, 242 yards, 2 TDs and 1 interception vs “Sacksonville”

 

Lance was on IR the entirety of the time last season since they got CMC so idk why he’s getting random strays here

 

yeah I overdid it haha. They put up 44 points and I remember him slicin through our defense with timing throws over the middle which nobody else was doing to us.

that Jags defense really was elite tho. Both in terms of shutting down yards and in generating turnovers. And if we didn’t fucking CHOKE we’d have got credit for how much we dominated the Patriots the first 3 quarters of that AFCCG. But the Steelers actually had more sacks than Sacksonville hahaha
