My wife and I about a year or 2 ago were pretty set we’d eventually have kids. Now seeing all our friends going through it … we’re less and less wanting to now.

 

Everyone can make whatever life decision they want and find fulfillment but I find it really funny that the people who are loudest about "AT LEAST I DON'T HAVE KIDS" are always the most depressed and just trying to convince me I should also be depressed because I do have them

I want to want kids and so does Ana. But we just, you know, don't really haha

Shit I am. That's part of the reason. We've got double depression and celiac? No one should be forced to live like that

I think it is really just the financial burden kids put on each of our families growing up scares us out of it, also mixed with the financial burden of simply living. And for my wife, she just doesn't want to go through the 9 months and recovery and I totally respect that haha

 

I say this, along with lack of freedom, but we don't actually do shit so lol

And not trying to rub actual parents the wrong way with posts, I’m mostly just speaking in terms of my lifestyle preference. If you like kids that is cool

 

I work with kids. They’re cool. It’s been very fulfilling and absolutely amazing for my mental health.

And some day I’m going to have my own kids and they are going to make accounts for this website so we all can shitpost at the same times.

I would be so proud

 

I like my friends kids lol. Though they're almost all babies/toddlers.

I'm probably gonna have to put in WORK with my sisters kid though unfortunately

The idea of having kids was so forced on me growing up Catholic I think that's the reason I don't want them now. But definitely open to it someday

 

No one should feel bad if they don’t have kids just like no one should feel bad if they do have kids

I think if people are giving you shit for one decision or the other is where it gets problematic


For me personally my wife and i got to the point where we’d love to be parents and have a kid.

it’s super exhausting, frustrating etc at times

but then you get moments like this and you know you made the right decision for yourself

I told my brother I'd be the cool uncle and he's already told me he wouldn't ever let his kids be around me much cuz I'd "corrupt them" because I'm not a Republican lol

 

I hope by that point Bill and Mac Jones are gone and Caleb Williams is leading us to the AFC championship game
