    Panic List:

    1. Broncos - This feels like the Colts of recent years; clinging to hope that they don't need to rebuild. Except it's worse because this team shouldn't need to rebuild. On paper, there is absolutely no reason for this dysfunction. Unlike the Bengals, I don't expect them to level out. And unlike every other team on this list - they don't actually have the means to fix things. This is a team that thinks they're in win now mode. The Bengals and Chargers have both continuously built for the future. Broncos thought themselves the next Los Angeles Rams.

    2. Bengals - The Bengals have been ass. They're a far better roster than what they're putting on the field right now. While I expect it to level out, being 0-2 while playing to your floor isn't as bad as being 0-2 and playing to your ceiling. The only reason I have them above the Chargers is because the AFCN is an incredibly strong division whereas the Chargers could suck and still be 2nd in the AFCW.

    3. Chargers - Bengals are 0-2 and playing their absolute floor. Chargers are 0-2 and they're playing about as good as they can be. That is very concerning. What isn't concerning is having Kellen Moore at OC. What IS concerning is not having Kellen Moore already at HC. As long as Brandon Staley is in that building, they're in panic mode.

    4. Minnesota - I'm putting them in the middle because I honestly have no fucking clue what they're doing and I don't think they do either.

    5. Bears - They've got the capital and cap space to instantly turn around. The staff has to go though. There are two OCs that should already be head coaches and another four who arguably should be. Stack that staff, force Fields to move in with your OC and QB coach, build the trenches.

    6. Patriots - why are we including them lol. It was considered a laughably hot take to suggest they'd finish anywhere but last in the AFCE so what we were expecting them to somehow still be a wild card team? They're a rebuilding team with a first year OC. Are we supposed to be surprised they don't look like world beaters?

    The rivalry is back on

    1) this is definitely a possibility, but my counterpoints to that are
    - holding onto Bortles 1 year too long led to the tear down that landed them Lawrence (and there is not much there currently to tear down). But even still, this feels more applicable to the Giants with Danny Dimes or if the Falcons kept Ridder as their starter after this season because they’re doing better than expected than it does to the Bears and Fields
    - that also means they probably killed it in the 2024 draft if they get to this point and have an otherwise very solid roster, and still have their 1 and Carolina’s 2025 1 to maneuver the draft board for a QB if they held Fields for too long

    2) they got the #1 pick last year with … Justin Fields at QB.

Also this is like, a really good QB class. Shut the fuck up Dustin and Jules.. It doesn't feel like last year where you take a QB top four or you don't take a QB. There's probably six guys right now that go in the first.

It feels good to not be on the 0-2 panic rankings list this year

I have to imagine he's QB3 on a lot of people's boards right now and wouldn't be surprised if he was QB2 on a couple.

If I'm the Bengals I'm bringing in every account in the state of Ohio and then every account from a state that teaches math and asking them how I could trade for and keep JJ along with Chase.

the top two receivers rn, through two games, have a combined 60 targets, 45 receptions, 575 yards, and somehow, 0 touchdowns.

I’d assume it thins out a bunch, but Caleb, Maye, Nix, Penix, Rattler, Ward, Hartman, etc, is still a lot deeper than last year if no one else declares

Imagine if we panicked after the KC game and sold our souls to trade for JJ lol

Honestly if we make a big move for a receiver I have to imagine we get Trevor his boy back.

Which is made possible by the Bengals trading for JJ!
