The tweet reduced it to, “he said the 49ers have tells and Purdy threw no INTs”. Like, that doesn’t mean the 49ers don’t have tells lol and it doesn’t mean they didn’t occur in the game. Actually executing is a very different story.

I get being mocked for saying “I’m gonna get my pick I know what they’re gonna run” but tbh that same confidence is why people loved him when he was good and the Cardinals were good, he’s just old now lol.

The ironic thing is, you’re never gonna read a play and intercept a pass WITHOUT that conviction that you know what you’re doing/seeing. So you might as well just be that assertive and confident and live with the consequences if it doesn’t work out.

It’s kinda like how people chomp at the bit to criticize Jalen Ramsey every time he gets burned despite the fact he’s still a generationally good corner… that swag is why he’s good enough / famous enough to be disliked in the first place. Sure he will decline as he gets older and people will make fun of him more for being cocky, but I don’t see the point if that’s what gave him an excellent career in the first place

Yeah, you know, every team has tendencies and keys you try and understand. We have a great coaching staff that helps us find those, so hopefully we can get a good read on what they're trying to do and make some plays and execute.

This answer is the kind that makes the post-game not fun when you lose:

I think Randall interpreted it as the former, when the rest of us took it as the latter which is why peterson mockery is ensuing.

Man, I’m only about halfway through the Jags game but Trevor looks great.

the TD to Zay Jones was such a tight window and they both executed perfectly, Zay making that diving sideline grab despite his shoulder being pulled by the DB.

And so was that pass to Calvin Ridley (who looks fast as fuck btw) where he caught the ball between two Indy defenders and made them run into each other

the accuracy and pocket presence very much look like they’re building on the second half of last year

Trevor out here making LOW sideline throws to beat the corner straight up, against cover 3 plays that are supposed to be designed to take away the deep sideline

anybody can throw a jump ball but only a really good QB can do that

 

sure, I’ll be honest with myself as it goes on. But if we can get a few plays like that Zay TD per game, we’ll win a good amount.
