He's been a serviceable nickel guy for years

CB is one of the few Texans strengths, he's still quality

 

I don’t think there’s a football reason to carry 4, but with the practice squad call-up rule they have now, the gameday inactives more or less serve as a little mini protected practice squad where you can keep the 3-4 guys regardless of position that you want to protect from being poached but aren’t good enough yet to play

so I think some teams (IND probably included) will land with 4 rostered TE because of that

 

My hope is they released King because theyre gonna give that spot to Cam Dantzler

Tavierre Thomas is the starter at nickel

 

Man, more than half the league doesn’t even have a good starting TE. I can’t imagine a team thinking “I gotta protect my TE4.”

That few good starting TEs is probably why tbh, gotta collect as many one trick ponies as possible to be situational and shit since so few can do enough

 

Giants making moves. I was a fan of Boogie during college and the draft. Not sure how he was last year in Buffalo but Giants adding him and Simmons for cheap are good moves.

Right now the Jags have a starting TE playing well though so yeah can't imagine needing a TE4
