not watching, but if Texas substituted then Ok State has the right to do so as well. There’s no rule about how fast that has to be.

The longhorn thing seems to be an issue between 2 fraternities, not specific to the Big 12 title game:

“From the way it looked, it looked like it had been dead for a while before it was dumped in front of FarmHouse. So that’s definitely something I’d like to know," Thomason said.

Stillwater police release new information about dead longhorn

On Saturday, the Stillwater Police Department said they're working alongside Oklahoma State University, Oklahoma Agriculture Investigative Services Unit, Noble County Sheriff’s Office, and the OSU Animal Science Department after the corpse of a longhorn was illegally dumped on the lawn of Farm House fraternity.

The initial finding of the death from the OSU Animal Disease and Diagnostic Laboratory found that "the animal was suffering from a natural disease process."

Initial reports in the investigation indicated that members of the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity have crucial information about the incident. Stillwater police said they appreciate the cooperation from the Farm House fraternity and will continue to collect information from Alpha Gamma Rho
