The e in Oregon being pronounced “or-ee-gon” is the one of those for me that I’m also pretty sure is correct because that’s how people do it out here but it sounds so wrong every time I hear it

My friend and his whole family are from Chicago and they pronounce it “ora-gone” which I also cannot stand lol
