Smu? Huh. Hey I asked who was left that the acc would even want, I didn't consider smu.

Shows you how it's all about markets with this thing. Dallas.

It's just suchhhh a weird jump. But I guess the big10, a Midwest conference, did just add four teams on the pacific coast

ND can fuck off until either they: (1) join a conference or (2) win a championship within the last four decades. #irrelevant

They would be dumb to join a conference but especially that one, would they be getting 80% of the acc profits or something? I can’t imagine why they’d do that lol

ACC still not sure about all of this and I don't fucking blame them.

Its definitely one of those moments where if you're an ACC president you're like "what are we doing here, why are we adding Texas and California suddenly"

Stanford and California NOT going to acc. Vote failed. Clemson, Florida state, unc and NC state said fuck no....so that's that got now.

Thats interesting that those schools said no considering those schools seem the most likely to bounce at any moment.

But damn, Stanford is nowhere??? Thats crazy.

    The rivalry is back on

Seems like it’s mostly the teams who want more of the revenue pie, so it makes sense that they wouldn’t want to dilute it further by adding 2 teams that don’t substantively add to it

Good call. True. I guess if there's no wiggle room in revenue distribution and their TV deal is eally that stuck...

I don't believe the ACC is just going to stand pat for a decade and do nothing

honestly, for some of these schools, I’d at least bet on points scored or allowed. Like, if I was on the Iowa defense I’d put money down almost every week on Iowa not getting to 20 points lol but maybe that’s not a huge market since idk who would be thinking the opposite

Should I just re-name this thread for the new season or should we start a new one since it starts in nine days?
