i mean dame has actually made all nba? he has been a top 8 player at points of his career. his age is the only detractor. we have seen jrue’s ceiling and he’s diminished each of the last two years

Sure. Dames really good. I’m not saying he’s not. But we literally just had a tweet like a page ago about an earth shattering earthquake event in the NBA and it’s like…a thing that happens every offseason lol

  6. How often does a top 75 all time player get traded to a small market? lol

  7. Saying dame is “really good” is totally under selling it too hahaha

    Omg lol

All I was saying is dudes who get traded/are on the trade block 100% get hyped like crazy and what’s happening with Jrue now is not uncommon

  9. It’s a little peculiar

i agree that things like this happen in the off-season but he’s literally the biggest athlete to be traded/signed to milwaukee and not naturally drafted since oscar

Oh sure, idc that that it’s being hyped up I’m more so just bumping on it being weird that the current hottest available trade target is also now getting hyped up lol

size aside toronto is a global city lol. people joke about milwaukee just being a suburb of chicago. toronto isn’t a small market by any means other than just blatant xenophobia. it’s the fourth biggest city on the continent and bigger than chicago. come on.

drew is wrong. phoenix’s population is 1.6m. milwaukee’s metro area is 1.6m.

i’ve been harsh on dame in the past but i think his hype currently is proportionate. jrue’s is not.

I’m talking about in the context of the NBA and how the team is viewed. I know Toronto is a global city and has a large population, but you’re absolutely kidding yourselves if you don’t think they’re viewed as a small market to the NBA and its players

a lot of players have actually talked openly about toronto being one of their favorite cities to play in and go out in. i remember jalen rose talking about it like a decade ago and it continuing since then. i agree regarding the nba media at large but that’s bc they’re biased to being pro-america, which isn’t really something anyone should agree with. they are the opposite of a small market, i agree they get treated as one though. but kawhi leonard didn’t go there thinking “oh this is a small market team” lol come on

The Bulls jersey looks like what you'd see an NBA player wear in a commercial when the company doesn't have the rights to use actual uniforms/logos. Or something from a rack in Walmart. The Mavs one is...another Mavs jersey. Their City set from last year was gorgeous, but otherwise they've had one of the worst uniform runs in the entire league for going on several decades now.

At this point in the City uniform program most of the teams have had one passable to legitimately good design. Nike's insistence on switching them annually is the biggest problem because the designs (and their accompanying "storytelling ") really get diluted. Chicago's city flag, Miami's Vice design, Utah's Red Rock gradient...those were all great looks. We all know the goal is just to sell merch, but I feel like fans would buy just as much of an iconic design rather than getting something new pushed out each year.
