I mean the last time the Mets didn't have a supposedly elite starter starting on opening day was Bartolo in 2015 and that worked out pretty well. That's probably the only way Bartolo and Megill are in any way comparable, but clearly starting the deGroms and Syndergaards of the world on OD wasn't working out for us

 

tomorrow in DC is gonna get rained out anyway, game 1 will be Friday, maybe doubleheader saturday.
