Hm. Writers must have forgotten to put Pete Alonso ahead of Ronnie

  5. I can’t get over the Angels having two absolute game changing players and … the probably results again.

Mike Trout is gonna be in one of those “Why didn’t ____ win a title?” videos from Secret Base, I swear.

  7. The top three players in baseball are Soto, Ohtani and Trout and I will not accept any other answers. But at this point you could order those three however you want and I won’t argue with you.

If I could have two things come true this year it would be (1) first perfect game since 2012, and (2) Soto / Trout posting a .500+ OBP

Number two would be fine, but Felix needs to have the last ever perfect game.

  10. I agree with both of these wishes but with the stipulation that I only want Trout to do that in a full season

Verlander perfect game and then retire this offseason, make it happen

  13. Huh so I guess San Diego is hoping that if they say Eric Hosmer's name and "Mets" in the same sentence enough times he'll suffer some career ending injury and they won't have to pay him. Interesting strategy!

  14. Seriously though I guess that move makes sense for New York if you squint hard enough...but idk I tend to think Paddack and Smith are both not very good. Paddack for sure has more long term upside though. But not sure he's gonna help with the rotation injury bug since as the article mentions he half tore his UCL last year

  15. Trout is still #1 for me, I think he’ll have his best year yet this season

Soto would probably pass him up before Shohei does

you just cannot make it up if you tried

  20. MLB should just allow DeGrom and Scherzer to borrow a little something-something from Cano's locker imo so they heal quicker. Just this once!

“Its not seen as serious” is as close as you get to famous last words as far as the mets are concerned
