alrightttttt. just got back from CitiField (im back in town for the weekend) a solid win and a solid day at the ballpark.

After going to Minute Maid last week and CitiField this week....it's not even close to how much more enjoyable CitiField is. The mid-inning antics, the production, the stadium itself, the flow, better tunes. It's just a better baseball experience. I'm also just partial to outdoor stadiums over indoor/dome types (i understand it's 100 degrees in texas so fuck i get it). I also got a Pastrami sandwhich where she cuts the pastrami in front of you deli style and shit...nice........... nice

I cant even imagine what it's like to be a kid playing Single A ball and you check to see who's pitching against you tonight and it's Jacob Degrom.

Is there a medical/physical reason to decide if a pitcher will do a rehab start in single-A or double-A? Or is it just whether scheduling lines up?

Usually they like to start a player in St. Lucie because that's where the team complex is, so they have coaches, trainers, etc. around as needed in case there are any hiccups. Not as many resources in Binghamton obviously. Then they just increase the level of competition as the rehabbing player progresses to get him back up to major league speed (although I'm pretty sure deGrom would've struck out everyone at pretty much level at this point considering his stuff was apparently as absurd as ever).

Still feels smart to hold him 2 weeks until after the ASG and let him really ramp up, but this is all positive stuff.
