sounds a lot like something someone whos first rodeo it is would say

 

My old boss was a long Island liberal and she drove an old F250 or something and she would give me rides to work and I have never felt more afraid.

 

I mean, if the Saints get back that pick in the trade...or get back something good and make that trade less painful...I dont think you worry too much about whether your 1st is the 15th pick or the 5th pick, since its not yours

 

Im fine with the people that think their car is nice and do the double spot thing (or I see it a lot with big trucks in DC where spots are narrower)...but the people that park on the line or just nudge over the dividing line of facing spots drive me crazy. I park as tight to them as I humanly can because my car is trash and they can hit it with their door for all I care...I want them to be mad too

 

My car complaint is that I am almost too superior to other drivers because I drive a hybrid. It’s tough being the only environmentally conscious person on the road that I have to huff my own farts to compensate for other peoples complete lack of environmental awareness. It’s tough being sooooo much better than everyone else.

 

Dont tread on my truck tires.

I want to believe in electric cars and solar panels but the research on what it currently takes to make batteries is highly discouraging, they need to improve the efficiency of batteries dramatically and also slow down market demand for them to make any headway for environmentalism. Right now making electric vehicles is just a way for car companies to pretend they give a fuck so they can sell more cars (and a way for the middle class to have a superiority complex just because they can afford them)

 

Fortunately that’s the one really good thing Tesla does, they’re the only company with all hands on deck trying make batteries more efficient, out of more sustainable materials, and last longer. Smart phone companies are working on the battery life vs size trade-off more so than sustainability, for example, because that’s what’s profitable to them. Too bad Musk is currently doing it for all the wrong reasons, to make fast luxury cars for rich people instead of sustainable electric cars for the masses, but apparently Toyota has started putting Tesla-produced batteries in their more accessible hybrid cars so that’s a start. (I still hate everything else about Elon Musk though, I want to know who at Tesla are the actual scientists behind improving batteries - the Nikola Tesla to his Thomas Edison, if you will - not the megalomaniac CEO who talks out of his ass and flat out buys patents to inventions with emerald mine money. Super ironic he called the company Tesla.)

It’s a thing we need all vehicle and electronics innovators to consider in their production process, instead of just outsourcing battery production to cheapest company that doesn’t care and then just being like “welp! It’s not US polluting anymore, we’ve done our job”

And then the other part of the problem is classism, we may have cut costs dramatically when it comes to electronic vehicle supply chains, but the cost of repairing them has not followed suit. So it’s still prohibitively expensive for poorer people to actually maintain an EV even if they can afford the car payments. Insuranfe is less reliable about covering repairs of new technology and also more likely to total your car becuase of how expensive it is to repair

Yeahhhhhh but ya know… clout hahahaha. That being said I love my Rav4 hybrid. It’s slow as shit but a comfortable ride.

 

The one thing I hate about the explorer I have is that it's so big and heavy that acceleration is not great. So trying to merge or whatever can be a pain.

 

Yeah but I’m sure sometimes people think you’re an undercover cop. Unless your explorer doesn’t look like an undercover cop car.

 

100% when i see an explorer even if i think theyre not a cop ill still hug the speed limit in front of them just on principle
