I will forever remind this thread that I am not the originator of that phrase and there were two worse Jagoffs than me and @CarpetElf in this thread back in the absolutepunk days

As much as I like the idea of befriending other Jags fans… I do not miss atticusfinch and badger lol

 

after we get our house my commute is gonna go from 5 minutes to about 30, which sucks ass

I feel you, after I got my house my commute went from 5 seconds to 15 seconds

yeah when I moved into my apartment from my house my office was further from my bed so now I have my alarm set for 7:27 instead of 7:28 so I can clock in by 7:30. It’s rough.

 

badger was just annoyingly biased about anything Jags / Gators and had bad takes that had pretty much zero understanding of how the Jags compare to the rest of the league… but that’s pretty common for northeast FL sports fans lol

Atticusfinch definitely was needlessly hostile for sure and I didn’t participate in the sports forum for awhile at first because the culture of a lot of people being like that made it unfun. Did not feel great that the other loud Jags fan was a dick and we could not agree on anything lol

I wasn’t always a smart football fan either though lol. I mean I defended both Blaine Gabbert and Blake Bortles for awhile. I think that was more because I didn’t want to admit/accept my team was gonna suck for a decade though lol

And I think my first sports forum post ever was me saying that baseball was boring because there was more “luck” involved lol. (This was over a decade ago -@xbrokendownx and @preppyak were even more active regulars at the time lol.)

I can honestly say I credit this thread and our draft threads for getting me up to speed, showing me the resources to learn more annd more about the sport, and keeping me in the loop on all the biggest news. I kinda love it for that.

 

I have learned nothing from this thread

 

I learn more about highways I'll never drive on in this thread than I do about football

 

The bad posters I think of when thinking about this site, are thankfully not in this thread (or are no longer in this thread).
