i like becky a lot but given the other places she’s been attached to i think she’s gonna start in the league at a lower pressure/spotlight situation than where she’s immediately expected to have a title contender

I was half following until it was clear AD took the night off. They got game one and don’t look to care about this one.

Like clockwork with that guy. Great game, looks like one of the best players on the planet, everyone postgame like “that’s who AD is” and then he lays a sloppy mudpie two days later

 

I think Becky will stay in the wnba a few more seasons, she won a championship last year and i think the wnba is about to have a huge season exposure-wise, dont think shes back in the nba for at least 2-3 years at minimum but the Aces are poised to be good for a bit.

I can't shake the feeling of that I wouldn't want to be the first to hire a woman head coach. First to hire most likely means first to fire too =/

 

The literal only person I'm rooting for in this lakers warriors series is Playoff Rui

 

i agree but at the very least she is already interviewing immediately after winning so she can’t be that attached

 

Woulda thought Milwaukee would at least wait a bit longer to do it since they’re slow rolling the hiring process, with everything Bud is dealing with. but hey maybe it’s better to rip off the bandaid

anyway echoing what others have said I’d love to see Harmon back in the nba but I bet she doesn’t wanna start at a place like the bucks where if you have one slightly subpar season it’s a disaster given the talent level

 

The pressure in general to be the first of anything would fucking suck

 

even if they wait a bit to hire, they will probably start interviewing right away, and you can't interview if you already have a head coach. makes sense to not wait.

i guess woj said that the bucks might be waiting so long bc they will interview coaches still in the playoffs. for head coaches, i think four of these are pretty easily out. i could see Ham coming back, Doc if the 6ers flame out though that should be enough to stay away, monty if the suns look for a fall guy and thibs, though if miami beat the knicks similarly to the bucks we should also stay away.

assistants, though, are more interesting. two former bucks assistants in eric hughes at philly and ben sullivan at boston, former head coaches in joerger at philly and atkinson at gsw, and then sam cassell who was obviously a bucks star and seems to clearly be waiting for his first HC job
