    The rivalry is back on

I don’t want to say “it will never happen again” because it very well could and it very well could be some combo of this young batch of QBs, but the combination of longevity and dominance of Brady/Manning/Brees for the better part of two decades is insane, and then you throw in Ben/Rivers/Eli on top of them and it’s a pretty crazy group of QBs

the Rodgers/Stafford/Ryan group has longevity, but you’d need two more Rodgerses and another Stafford to touch this past group

the next group just doesn’t have longevity besides Dak and Wilson (who still need to play another 8 years at a high level to touch this group). Cam, Luck, RG3, etc had high peaks but didn’t last

and then maybe Mahomes/Burrow/Herbert/Allen/Murray/Jackson, etc replicate something like that, but talk to me in 2040 if they actually live up to that

I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see it again as leagues adopt more QB mobile offenses. Josh Allen is gonna be so sore in his 30's and Lamar may very well just be dead.

So tell me something awesome Supporter

I will say that among just missing how good Brady is I'm gonna be sad I didn't get to watch him be complete ass

I wanted just 1 season like Peyton's "benched for Brock Osweiler" season even if it ended in the same way Peyton's did, just to see what it would be like to see Brady as that beatable

If he retired in 2030 instead I'd probably still be holding on to that wish

Yeah but his skill is risk management and he’s incredibly image conscious. He was never gonna wait till he looks bad to retire. He already failed to get that Bill Russell / Otto Graham 11-0 in championships and his losses were starting to threaten his Jordan comparisons. Gotta keep that tape clean and filled with playoff seasons lol

Every single mock draft has the Pats taking a WR in the first round so i'm now more convinced then ever they're doing a IOL.

Plus the full quote is far more tame than anything Beasley (or even Rodgers) have said.

“I’m a big statistics and logical guy,” he said. “So if statistics show it’s the right thing for me to do, I’d do it.

"Again, I’d go lean the other way, too, if that’s what it said.”

Allen acknowledged that he hadn’t “been paying attention to it as much as maybe I should have. I’ve just been doing my thing and masking up when I’m going out and just staying close and hanging around family.””

For what it’s worth, he’s now vaccinated.

    Not here. Isn't happening. Supporter

You want me to elaborate? I don’t understand. He was questioning whether vaccines were safe long after it was very clear they were and it was very clear that we needed them to control the virus. He was doing so when asked but still it was a wtf moment with him. And he was openly against mandates because of the “constitution” Not saying it’s the worst thing ever and certainly nothing compared to Rodgers just one small example in a longer post that you saw that makes me caution if all these young quarterbacks end up being great people.

I wish I had changed my user name... Prestigious

For all we know he was vaccinated when he said that. I honestly have no idea WHEN he got it. I just know that by mid-season when Trubisky and Fromm both tested positive he didn't have to go into protocols so I'm like 99.99% certain he was for most/all of the season.

That being said, I was not a fan of his comments when he made them and wished he could have just not spoken on the subject, but I also understand why he went very wishy-washy with what he said. I don't like it, but knowing his entire family is a bunch of farmers from the armpit of California, I think it's obvious by inference where they stand on the subject. So he's trying to not to piss them off being like YEAH GET IT I GOT MINE! but also trying to not piss off your beligerent teammates, specifically one WR, while not avoiding the media's question.

To be honest I’ll take Josh Allen getting the vaccine eventually as a win

just do it and shut up about it forever after that. No one pays or roots for football players because of their political opinion. I’d prefer to just stop having reasons to even talk about it

All I'm saying is being hesitant of the vaccine and then... getting it isn't even really a bad thing. I don't expect everyone to blindly believe in everything the government and such tells us. As long as he gets it, I don't care how hesitant he was.
