I just hope to see my team in a Conference Championship atleast

majority have had that experience, oh well

It’d be like if you had to root for the Cleo Lemon led 2007 Dolphins for 10 years in a 15 year span, all while holding onto false hope that you may someday be better than a bottom 5 team and disappointment when your team is somehow that awful again

 

It still bothers me the Jaguars were still somehow so bad this season they lost to this iteration of the Texans twice

like what the hell, stop getting the first overall pick, shit

 

The Jaguars’ third best point differential in the past 15 years is -65

I mean who care if you are 6-10 or 5-11 or 3-13 lol

playoffs or no playoffs is really all that matters.

A 3-13 team isn't "worse off" than a 5-11 team in my opinion.

 

I thought that was a foldable offense tbh

 

Jags have one season better than 6-10 in the last decade. Dolphins have 7.

 

I enjoyed watching this year’s Colts even though they missed the playoffs

I enjoyed nothing about watching Pagano’s last year with a broken Andrew Luck and a bottom 3 offense and defense

I definitely think there’s a difference — neither is ideal by any means but one is entertaining yet frustrating and one of them just sucks

 

but the Colts have a long history of being successful...from Peyton to Luck. Yeah a few tough seasons in between, but still.

All I am saying is that in my mind, there is no difference between being 4-12 and 7-9. If people disagree, then sure yeah the Jags are "sadder" because they have fewer wins, I guess.

 

THE DOLPHINS HAVE A LONG HISTORY OF SUCCESS TOO

 

oh I’m not saying that the Colts are sad at all — more just using that as an example of a “fine” season of missing the playoffs and a “bad” season of missing the playoffs

 

in the 70s and early 80s before I was born lol who cares about that

 

I’ve always thought that if your team is in the running for a playoff spot into the second last game of the season, then it was a good season.

I can assure that its not fun

 

Absolutely (from a fan standpoint)

Hope and watching your team win in general is fun even when the season is not "successful"

 

It still counts though. Like I wouldn't claim to root for a sad college team just cause Nebraska has been ass for 20 years considering they were one of the best in history for the 30 years before that haha.

At the very least, more fun than watching a 1-10 start where every single game after you just expect disaster

 

Imo you’re never gonna have a catch all rule for that kind of thing, but I think it’s close. It gave you a reason to tune in the each week, which is enough for me but I understand how that could piss off someone to hear from a Steelers fan. So I’m sorry if that’s the case, I get where you’re coming from tho
