When Josh Allen is good, he’s *really* good. When he’s bad, he’s *really* bad.

 

Josh Allen crashing back down to earth was one of the more predictable things that happened over the last four months

 

As much as I hate to admit this, it’s true. Maybe I’m just an upstate New Yorker with my head in the sand but JA has a high ceiling, the Bills just aren’t putting in the work to develop him. It’s very frustrating especially when you look at how other organizations treat their “franchise QBs”.

 

I think it would help if they had a better WR corp around him. They ask a lot of that passing game, which is mostly fine, but they can’t rely on Beasley and Sanders at this point. I think getting a legit WR2 and finding a reliable RB (Gordon? Conner?) would go a long way towards helping Allen and that offense as a whole.

The Bills, unfortunately and predictably, did what a lot of teams do after a successful season: Expect everything to go just as well again and focus on improving areas of concern. They may have improved the defensive line, but the offense has regressed and all they did to aid it was bring in Sanders who is in his mid-30s and is a WR3 at best. Beasley has been banged up and hasn’t played as well. The entire passing offense has taken a step back, which is fine, but they did nothing to adequately support that regression this past offseason.

 

Devin Singletary has been really good the past month or so

 

How has he been for the past two seasons and 75% of this one?

He’s fine, but Zack Moss and Matt Breida are zeroes. They need someone else there.

 

I mean, they dont give him the ball?

hes 4.7 YPC for his career

 

This just in: A larger sample will very likely lower his YPC

 

hes like 20th in the league in carries but okay

signing 29 year old Melvin Ingram is absolutely not what the Bills should be doing (and I hate the Bills, so)

You’re right, upgrading at WR and the OL is way more important anyway. Just saying that finding someone to compliment Singletary is not a bad idea. Also, as for Gordon, who cares how old he is? He’s had a solid season and isn’t going to command the type of money he got from the Broncos. Not saying they have to get him. Just sign someone for cheap and hope you strike gold like the Cardinals did with Conner and like the Eagles have down twice with Howard.

Singletary is 5’7” and just over 200 lbs. Probably not the guy I would consistently be giving large workloads to week in and week out

 

Like, it is perfectly okay for Singletary to be Buffalo’s version of a guy like Tony Pollard or Boston Scott. They need another guy there, which is why they spent the same kind of draft capital on Moss as they did Singletary. Moss hasn’t planned out. They need to find someone else.

 

I agree with this assessment. Seems like other teams have focused on defending Diggs but when the Bills utilize the TE / Knox it works out well. Goes back to play calling. As for Singletary, he’s definitely a solid player who can definitely produce but I don’t really see him getting any better with time.

That being said, GO BILLS AFC EAST CHAMPS BAYBAYYYY.

 

but the point is the way the Bills play they are never going to have a Jonathan Taylor on their team. They throw the ball 75% of the time.
