I'm torn on the shift. On one hand I think banning is stupid, but on the other, it will lead to more excitement and less .220 hitters maybe? lol

I think maybe limiting how far a shift can be vs. outright banning it would be better. Maybe draw an imaginary straight line out from the corners of hte 2nd base bag and say no infielders in this area or something, idk.

 

i’m okay with banning it, it does take the enjoyment out of the game at times. limiting it to 1 shift every 3 innings or something wouldn’t be bad either

 

Hot take apparently but baseball should run from Memorial Day and finishing the weekend of Labor Day. Expanded playoffs would obviously come into play. But only if players are getting some sort of legit income for actually playing in the post season.

140 seems too short to me but i'd be willing to entertain 150. lose 12 regular season games, expand to12 team playoff, first round is 3 game series.

That's the most I'd be willing to change things. Take it or leave it and keep the 162, 8 team playoffs

 

It'd be fine if they went back to 154 games like before Maris. Nobody breaking any more home run records anyways.

 

You could convince me on a 10-15 game shorter season. I dont think id want it to start Memorial day, but mid to end April seems fine.
