Making them 18 inches vs. 15 to help avoid collusions and to help stolen bases to make the game more exciting.

I'm hoping for comically large bases

I agree with your stance on the shift, but I will say that minor league games do tend to flow much, much smoother and quicker than the major league games in my experience. Not sure if it's only because of the pitch clock, but I think that it is a big part of it

I don't think shifts should be outright banned but I do think up the middle would be cool as like a no shift zone. I feel like you should get rewarded for perfect timing. I see no problem with making some positive for offense lol.

I’ve come around on the shift just in seeing that it has ballooned by like 100x in 8 years. Every at bat has a shift at this point. And every other sport has rules on where defenders can line up for the most part.

  12. I think a lot of casuals would prefer that actually and MLB is targeting casuals more than us, we’re gonna watch the games regardless and they know that

  13. Banning shifts is egregiously stupid. Pitch clocks are a good idea. Bigger bases are fine but when they did that in the minors it had zero statistically significant effect on SBs or anything. Guess it could help with collisions but I’m not really convinced of that

Maybe I'd be on board with coming up with a set zone that each position has to be in at the start of the pitch, which still allows for shifts but maybe wouldn't allow for extreme shifts.

But I'm more so of the belief that you should be able to line up your defense however you wish. If you want the entire team spread out in the outfield, or all 4 infielders guarding between 1st and 2nd, you should be allowed to do that (obviously that would never happen but just making the point).

Just ban Kevin Cash using four outfielders. I think it made a difference once lol

  21. Fine with no shift. Shorter season is dumb. Expanded playoffs is dumb.

Not quite. Still stuck on pre-arb pool and CBT and playoff size/format.
