honestly what are they really doing to help the minor leaguers that’s what I wanna know

They increased their pay…. then added more games to their seasons. So nothing really. (I do think they are helping them with living expenses i.e. rent etc though which is the least they can do).

 

I’m really just a casual viewer in terms of understanding the process but all I really want is for the minor leaguers to not be treated like garbage and for the young players to get paid faster and allowed to switch teams earlier.

I just took a class on alternative dispute resolution, focusing on arbitration and mediation. it was cool

 

I’ve only been in practice four months and it’s already very clear I fucked up by not taking that class lol

 

it was super super useful. it made me wonder how it’s not a core class that all law students should take

 

They definitely need to be paid more. Being a minor leaguer sucks. Long bus rides, in hotels all the time, being called up and down sometimes multiple times a year and thus having to uproot their families/lives. What they’re getting now is definitely a start but they definitely need more help.

 

Don't give a single shit about winemaking but this was the rare feel good story that actually made me feel good (until the end when he was like "uh yeah hope me and Dave aren't the last Black managers ever!")

@slimfenix182 looking at 2017 Topps Chrome Update, are all the autos stickers except for Judge and Bellinger??

I don’t like sticker autos and I know chrome update usually is stickers but I swear I can’t see a sticker on any of Judge or Bellinger’s autos

 

Trying to remember, I think they're all on card? Topps Chrome main rookie autos are all on card I know. I'll take a look, not positive about Update

 

Topps Chrome is definitely on card always. But I’ve been bamboozled looking at eBay and seeing Chrome Update being stickers except for Judge/Bellinger

seems like Judge and Bellinger were redemptions as well

 

I know Update uses stickers cause I have a German from that set (ugh) and I know Montgomery was. Hard to be certain but I think the Judge and Bellinger sigs are too big and loose to fit on a sticker?

 

seems like Gleyber was on card in 2018 chrome update but Acuna and Soto were sticker

this is revelatory to me honestly. I’ve been totally discounting chrome update because I can’t be bothered with sticker autos. Although most of them are, I need to be more diligent lol
