The trade was more about getting 2 prospects back including Alex Binelas, a 3rd round pick in this year's draft that has a ton of power. This trade was more about the Sox buying prospects by taking on a bigger contract in JBJ.

Red Sox fans are pissed so I'm guessing Renfroe was good - I am starting to remember him now

 

The same fans that are pissed at trading Renfroe were probably the same ones screaming to bench him in the playoffs.

He hits LHPers really well, has power in his bat and has a good throwing arm but he’s an average defensive OFer and is probably not an everyday player. But looks just like Mike Trout.
