I mean, Marte did just have a better offensive season than Baez has had in his entire career, most of his value comes from his defense and thise numbers declined last year, and your proposed deal is over twice as much as Marte got. So it's not really comparable (although I would have preferred to keep it at three years).

I know you don't like McNeil, but if this year was just a blip and he returns to his career norms, he probably outperforms Baez for the remainder of their respective contracts

  9. 40 mil is fucking insane lol

  10. for 10 mil more they could probably sign both stro and gausman 2-4 years each

Yeah, it’s a lottttt, gausman also supposedly wants five or six years which is kind of what most top fa pitchers get

Isn’t Rodon’s elbow or shoulder fucked up to the point where velocity is an issue? Or am I thinking of someone else?

  20. someone else i think haha, he is injury prone though

I think people were worried about that right when he was returning, but the end of the season/playoffs, his velocity was back to where it was supposed to be

I would love for the Mets to get Rodon along with Stro or Gausman

But seriously, I think the fact that Chicago didn't even offer Rodon the qualifying made people wonder. Otherwise, yeah just injury prone in general

Yeah Rondon must have a pretty scary elbow/shoulder issue that the White Sox know about otherwise it was a no brainer to give him a QO.
