Dont see the Mets even making calls on Correa or Story, but Bryant would be great if Baez isnt gonna happen.

 

I wonder if Stroman has had any contact with the Mets front office or if this is just what he thinks is happening cause he makes it seem like they already told him they don’t want him back

 

I don't think he'd be tweeting this stuff if he wasn't certain about the situation, personally.

Its fine, since marte is on the Mets he’ll be batting .179 with 2 HRs and 11 RBIs by the all star break and fans will want him gone.

Last I saw Baez starting ask price was 6 years for $200 million, don't think the Mets will go for that.

 

Nor should they. I like him at 4/100 or 5/125 at the most, but the decline is going to be scary when the bat speed and fielding start to go

I dont think youre getting Bryant for much less than 180/200 anyway though, the market for these guys these days is just so inflated.

 

worrying about guys getting older and declining is just not something you can keep fussing over though, like, every player is gonna get older and slower, but if the mets win a WS in 2022 or 2023 nobodys gonna give a shit about year 5 or 6 of the Baez contract.
