i wasn't aware shildt was held in such high esteem

 

i think it's not so much that he's held in high esteem as much as its he's a good manager who absolutely did not (seemingly) deserve to be canned.

 

It’s I think mostly that he’s been good for the most part, just rallied his team to a post season appearance with no depth/help from the front office with a ton of injuries, the players love him, and that most people are sick of MO’s shit

 

He was fine, seems like a good person, Mozeliak is obfuscating and I do not trust the FO at all. That sums up my feelings

 

Hopefully he makes his Starting Pitcher debut tonight!!!

I thought Mo said like a decade ago that he didn’t want to be in baseball forever and wanted new challenges. Maybe I’m not remembering correctly but if that’s true, why is he still there?
