Watched MLB tonight ….. not a single live look-in on Rays - White Sox , two first place teams. They were showing Tigers / Blue Jays CONSTANTLY, likely cuz of the Miggy thing, but still…. Seems inexcusable for them.

Showed the highlights for Rays at about 415, just after the game ended. Anyone with insight into this? I thought MLB Network prided themselves on showcasing the whole league ?

side note edit I do have MLB.TV so I could’ve watched it live or recorded but was out and about during the game and thought I’d just fast forward through the good parts of MLB tonight and was shocked to see NO live Rays coverage. This also should be infuriating to ChiSox fans.

 

Honestly, I am used to the exclusion when it’s the Rays, and especially if it’s like Rays vs another small market. But two first place teams (one representing a large share of the market) in what many predict as a pre-postseason matchup seems like a serious oversight.

 

And that’s exactly how I saw it … I could see if it was Rays / Royals or something …. And again I guess Miggy’s pending 500th had something to do with it , but usually they are really good about at least showing the scoring.

Maybe it was because they won another one with mostly small ball, no dingers. As they say, “Chicks (and most casual baseball fans) dig the long ball”. *eye roll*

 

Any update on Ji-Man? He left the game too today , hopefully not serious.

 

He’s had lingering hamstring issues and he pulled himself out of the game basically after crossing home plate really slowly when Meadows drove him in.

Cash said that Choi felt it twinging but says he got out before any serious pulls or serious tightness developed again.

 

They really should be showing wanders highlights from the day because he really showcased his entire game today (even the two doubles that missed being homers by a combined few feet).

 

yeah and again … future of the game - he will be a top 5 player in the league within a year or so.

I realy love watching this team. So fun so many characters. Such a shame about Tyler Glasnow but I still think they can go deep with what they’ve got.

 

Yanks / Braves tomorrow. Two win streaks of nine on the line.
