1) I actually don't hate what the nationals are doing. I don't understand not trading scherzwr and trea separately and maximizing your fire sale but if you're going to rebuild, you go all out. I think this is the right time too. They won a title and for the most part your team is just soto and aging guys. (But also see 3)

2) yanks getting gallo and Rizzo is so on brand for them lol

Heyman on MLB network right now thinks Baez is more likely than Bryant for the Mets, with Davies and/or Kimbrel. Bryant fills the 3B need but if Baez will agree to shift to 2nd once Lindor is back, i’m just as fine with it. For some reason i feel like theres a more likely shot they retain Baez longterm than Bryant. Think Bryant would exclusively be a rental.

 

If you move Baez to 2nd then what, move McNeil to 3rd? Not sure I like that better than getting Bryant for 3rd.

I do agree though that Baez is more likely to sign with us after this season

 

Not confident that he’d suddenly get better so don’t care to lose a lot for a story rental

 

Haven't even bothered to look up Story's numbers til now, why does anybody want to rent him? .740 ops and 91 ops+ with a Coors Field home field?
