Home run derby to decide the game until all star break when games start really really mattering, runner on second starting in 12th inning after that except regular rules in the playoffs. Would be cool to make the hr derbies somehow a tryout for the real hr derby too haha

I'd honestly rather have regular rules all the time tho

personally? because I love extra innings balls. would take away excitement too, less walkoffs. also would be less historical continuity with stats

and that'd be a ton of ties too.

They just play extra innings by the same exact rules as regular innings

 

we've already messed with the continuity of stats. and we should already be comparing them with a grain of salt based off different eras.

Googled this: Ninety-eight percent of all MLB games in 2019 ended in the 11th inning or earlier.

so how about 11 innings and then a tie? that leaves 98% room for excitement. and 2% of you already contemplating turning the TV off anyways.

 

miss 18 inning games especially ones at night where it gets spooky

 

i'd like that the most, but they want to change it for whatever reason.

Nothing great - it was from buying hanger boxes and single packs and one retail box - best hits were an Eck auto Arenado relic and Springer playoff relic

a few chromes too

but I bought two hobby boxes today : opening day 2021 and heritage 2021 so hoping for some cool stuff later

 

yeah I'd prefer just regular rules all the time especially post-covid but if they're insistent on changin things I'd really rather see the mlb version of shootouts than runner on 2nd, at least until the aug/sept stretch when things get intense

I went to a Dodgers game in Philly where two girls were arguing because the one girl (Dodgers fan) called the other girl (Phillies fan) dumb for taking selfies or something and one girl flashed the other girl's boyfriend and said "Now he's going to think about my tits tonight" and I was like wow that is an intense level of psychological warfare. I sat next to a family and the dad looks at me and he goes "Can you believe I almost brought my wife"?

Baseball is better when Dodgers fans fight that's all I'm saying.
