I think I’ve seen some people recommend that all conference winners get in and then have two wild cards or something like that. There would still be issues of course (most likely all “lesser conferences” or weaker SOS would always be the lowest seeds but maybe that’s the way it should be) as there’s nothing that will make everyone happy. I think some years though would get people complaining about the quality of certain conferences if they have a down year kind of like when you see an 8-8 or 9-7 team in the NFL get a home playoff game over a 12-4 team that didn’t win their division or something but again, no way everyone would always agree, so maybe this is the way to go, especially with conferences seemingly merging left and right

100% the argument against expansion. I've said this for a long time, is you're ruining the drama of some of these games.

But, I've come around.

Especially with 12 (a bye/incentive to be top 4...and home game for 1st round). It would just take us college football fans some time to reprogram our brains. Sure michigan/osu drama would've been whho gets a bye/home field, and that's not THAT exciting...but we would have watched the egg bowl with great interest on Thursday. The ending to the Baylor game would have been must watch. We would be talking about San Diego state being in the hunt.

The next tier games become more interesting. Which is unusual for college football I know.

4 team playoff 100% definitely gets the job done of crowning the best team as champion, no doubt, but I think 12 (its a key number for me) will make more games in the final 3 weeks matter more.

But I get it completely. To me, the entire season is a playoff system in a way. The season is only 12 games (really its 10 since everyone plays 2 cupcakes...and its less since half the country has awful teams where you'll be favored by 14)...so thats your playofff.

 

i found it surprising and hilarious how they showed certain clips coming back from commercial breaks - especially when they showed the fights and such.

Like, NFL throws out flags for looking at opponent sidelines as taunting and Fox going out of their way to show college kids punching each other in the head and simply says “that’s rivalry baby!”

Goodell was probably whimpering in panic at those clips

Mostly just digging at osu fans BUT I think when the helmet has like 100 stickers on it, it looks ugly. We all love weed, don't get me wrong, but I think it simply makes the helmets look tacky

 

They’re not weed leaves they’re buckeye stickers. I think the combo of sparkling silver helmets slowly taken over by stickers is great. Also an easy way to identify key players. It also separates it from the other 900 schools that just have normal helmets. I think more schools should use stickers.
