Past CFP semi-final results:
FL State lost to Oregon by 39 points, Bama shutout MI State 38-0, Clemson shutout Ohio State 31-0, Clemson beat Notre Dame 30-3... as long as Cincinnati does better than any of those teams, I think that's a good result.

Still rooting for them to win, just saying.

Can anyone explain what the point of this dignified meeting coaches have with their players before they leave for another job? Like, how does that help at all? I don’t understand how that’s “the right thing to do”, like what could you possibly say

Saying goodbye to people you convinced to move to a specific part of the country and telling them to reach out if they need help and you aren't abandoning them as people, it's a professional decision.

I mean it helps dude. It's a sign of respect.

 

So you’re telling me they’re like “Sorry I persuaded you to change your life, come all the way out here so I could coach you and then leave in a year but I hope you really respect that I’m leaving and I’m telling you to your face (also plz transfer all the way to the other side of the country so I could coach you again plz)”? lol and then people get mad about the transfer portal because they don’t like players having the ability to leave, what idiots

 

I'm telling you the alternative of just dipping is way worse than saying you'll be there for them with any questions and as they grow and you'll always have a place for them on your teams, etc.

Ever been broken up with? They are effectively saying "Hey don't love you anymore, think someone else can make me happier" and that's still infinitely better than someone just leaving and then you watch them date someone new.

But yeah hating on the transfer portal is very dumb.
