  4. Sigggggghhh. I love it. I lost my mind during that game. It's somewhere in one of these threads.

Speaking of Gleyber, they need to put up his damn Funko for order. I needs it.

This roster won 85 games that year. With contributions from several other washed up and/or injury prone guys along the way. What a disaster that almost worked.

The best part was how in the off-season they let Cano walk and brought in Ellsbury and McCann, along with 39 year old Brian Roberts and 37 year old Carlos Beltran. The Yankees seriously loved bringing in old veterans with name recognition in those couple years.

Haha I know. With how young they got last few years one can forget just how old their teams were. Felt like they would run out of energy at the end of the year lol

And yeah winning 85 games with that team was insane

  15. I feel like there probably shouldn't be North American sports this summer and I hate that even though I know it's wrong I'm going to be excited for baseball to come back. Shoulda just canceled the season a month ago

I remember his three straight CGSOs in 2007. He seemed invincible. His sinker was a bowling ball

They were airing the 1994 all star game on tv. I was blown away by the amount of guys in this game that have passed away. Tony Gwynn, Ken Caminiti, Rod Beck, Kirby Puckett.

  22. Tony Gwynn would have been sixty today! Still sad he died so young

Since groundball rate started being tracked in 2002, he still has the highest for starting pitchers. The only pitchers in the top 25 in that stat with more fWAR than him is Derek Lowe who had over 150 more starts than Webb and only beats him out by less than 2 WAR. Also, Tim Hudson who had over 250 more starts. Groundball pitchers are notoriously less effective than strikeout pitchers, but Webb was truly an exception. His sinker was legitimately disgusting.

Motion reminds me of Chapman. I wish I could feel what it’s like to throw 102
