Barzal better be suspended long term for that. There's no place in the NHL for that kinda thing. Make him sit until whatever year he hits UFA and then don't permit him to re-sign with the Isles. I think that's fair.

 

i don't know a thing about JT Brown but this surprises me a bit. sadly, it seems like 1 out of every 5,000 hockey player has an actual personality so I'm certainly shocked that he's going to retire and immediately be a color commentator. seems like something that is hard to do and they usually just don't let anyone do it? but hopefully he's good. if hockey needs anything, it's younger blood doing things outside of playing the sport itself.
