I have no idea how ratings work in any sport.

Last game McKinnon had 3 goals and an assist and was +1. Some other player had no goals and 2 assists and was +2. I’m assuming ice time plays into it but that makes no sense with what they showed on screen lol

 

It’s the total number of goals for/against a player is on the ice for. If a player is on for 1 goal for his team and 2 goals against his team he’s a -1 on the night.

Edit: This excludes power play goals scored or allowed

 

Dallas was so bad defensively for so long that it's giving me the shits that they are good now.
