Yea, but he isn't like that great? why would the trade him when they'd be moving Callahan to bring him up anyway? They could trade raddysh or katchuouk, I guess. I don't see them as great prospects though. They have some Uni/euro guys who haven't signed yet, maybe they could trade them.

 

I'm sure someone would trade for Tyler Johnson without the bolts having to give up a haul to take him.

There was definitely a decline when Yzerman signed him to that deal and then signed girardi. He obviously had a lot on his plate.

 

Blues and Jets is a quietly good series. Two solid teams.

 

Callahan only has one year left

 

they might but I am not sure just dumping $5 million helps them much.

As of right now, they already have $73 million committed for 2019-20. Assuming an $83 million cap, they have to sign a boatload of players including Brayden Point for $10 million. They basically only have 3 NHL DMen under contract next year by the way.

 

They should just trade everyone & rebuild
