If Tamp gets sweeped by the WC2 team after being hailed as one of the best teams of all time they will never live this down. Their only hope would be Columbus goes on to win the Stanley cup so they have that to defend it

 

Maybe I'm just more amenable to it because I've been following the Premier League/European soccer for a decade at this point, but I wish people gave the Presidents' Trophy it's due. Same with the Supporters Shield in MLS. They should be just as coveted/respected as either postseason cup (more so, really). But, alas..

I like the Jackets. The Lightning just DEMOLISHED them in the regular season so i had no reason to believe this would happen.

As a teenager, I wrote some stuff on Facebook that had transphobic and homophobic connotations to them. I found some of my old writing too and it had some pretty misogynistic stuff in it. I learned and grew out of being a total asshole and I want to believe that others can do the same.

Saying "it was ironic" is a bad response though. Just say that you sucked as a teenager and have grown a lot since then, and don't condone saying those things.

The squad is mostly all together still. Point is probably gone. Thats really it. Paquette would be nice to keep but thats really it as far as our franchise guys go.

 

You really think Point goes?? I have a feeling you'll see him get a shockingly low contract, like 8m or something. Toronto will be interesting to watch though
