My favorite part was that I didn’t have to keep waiting for ten picks because I was pretty ready to turn it off around pick 10 lmao

    The rivalry is back on

    Round 2 Colts predictions:

    34 - trade down
    46 - Omenihu
    59 - Scharping
the second they get from trading down: McLaurin

(Yes I am bracing myself for the worst, why do you ask?)

I had these guys predicted as first round picks that weren’t picked:

    Jawaan Taylor
    DK Metcalf
    AJ Brown
    Greedy Williams
    Byron Murphy
    Parris Campbell
    Mack Wilson
    Nasir Adderley
    Dalton Risner

    Carolina still running a 4-3?

After sleeping it off I hate our pick less.

Yes it's a massive reach but given that I'm not crazy about the OTs that were left in general I'd rather reach and get a potentially good OT (the comparisons @GreatBeardRecs pointed out to DB are promising) than get a bad OT at draft value.

So while I'm not thrilled about the pick I'm not miserable about it. I just hope we can use 54 or 55 as ammo to get a future CB1.

I’m guessing they’ll mostly be in nickel but I think we’ll see a few different looks

Aww! This makes me both happy, and sad because SF could very easily have made him the pick at 2. Maybe some writers would've graded them a little lower for passing on Bosa, but who cares?

Also, I really hope Metcalf goes off the board quick tonight. Like within the first three picks quick. If not, I fear Lynch is going to pick him at 36, and I do not want that.

I wish we did a Predict the Pick. I got Kyler, Bosa, Quinnen, White, Hockenson, Oliver, Bush (by number, not team), Williams, Burns, Jacobs, and Tillery right on. Had Jones to the Giants at 17.

Guys who didn't make it in the 1st from my mock: Taylor, Metcalf, Greedy, Byron, Risner, Ford

Yeah I feel better about TJ too. We missed so often on WRs before Calvin. It's not the same regime that even took Ebron. Is it a luxury pick and maybe we should've gone defense? Probably. But we also had a legit top 10 defense at the second half of the season. Offense was our biggest problem, and this genuinely helps it.

Yeah and I guess the moral of the story is you shouldn't scare yourself away from taking the best player on your board just because of how TEs have panned out before. I feel like the Texans might've done that with Derek Carr at #33 in 2014 and it was not a good decision.

He's definitely a little skinny for a 4-3 end but they obviously think they can make it work. I think Ferrell was perfect for them but then the Raiders went Vintage Raiders and left the Panthers with Burns

  12. I actually love what the Raiders did. All 3 guys. I know Ferrell wasn’t even a consensus top 10 pick but he’s really good. I think he’s a very safe pick.

I like all 3 Raiders picks but I don't think I like them in the scheme of "Ferrell/Jacobs/Abram vs Ferrell/Mack/Cooper" which fair or not is how it's gonna be looked at

I think it’s fair to frame it like that, not that Mack or Cooper were old, but I don’t have a problem with a bad/rebuilding team getting younger. As much as I would love to laugh at the raiders forever and always.

Yeah and honestly I think going from the superstar pass rusher to the more lowkey guy who can still produce regularly is a good move in building an actual good defense rather than a shit defense with 1 great player.

But it's just so hard to justify hahaha. But it's not impossible to.

You know it's funny how Murray wasn't even touted to go in the first round until the Cards hired Chip Kelly 2.0 . I can't believe I'm so annoyed over a pick that has nothing to do with my team.

Not to take away from what he's done because he's doing fine...but lol at Chris Hogan being touted as a big signing. He's like..the definition of "fine" nowadays.

Kliff is better than Kelly if for no other reason than he's committed to being himself.
