Hey y'all, so i'm going to get back into baseball this season, the last 4 or 5 years of my life were very busy and chaotic and the Phillies happened to be not great so I didn't pay much attention. I'm looking forward to posting some in here and I find reading threads on this site for sports are a great way to re-educate myself on today's game. Simple question for all the fans in here though, how many games do you watch a season would you say? I plan on having most Phillie games on the background while I do other things, it's just how I operate.

I probably watch at least 100 games, if I am home and the game is on, its on whether i am paying attention to it or in the background. I'll try to get to at least 5 games a season.

I live in South Florida right now by Miami which is fantastic because I can so easily get tickets to Phillies/Marlins games. I'll probably go to at least 5 as well this year. Already got tickets for April 14th, 35 bucks and i'm about 15 rows up from the 3rd baseline. Thanks Marlins.

I would say I watch around 130 Tigers games a year. I also tend to pick a game after that to put on. I'd say over 200 MLB games a year. I subscribe to MLB.tv, so I will go back and watch replays, or start the game late, to fit whatever I schedule. Its nice.

Last year I did this and gave my self the first round pick every year. surprisingly my team actually lost a few WS and even missed the playoffs a few times. I got to the 80's and now 20 came out so IDK if I'm gonna finish it out or not

That's interesting. How many WS did you end up winning?

You can import into 20 to finish.

One of the best things about MLB.tv... the radio dub.

Does anyone know any good sites that cover baseball prospects and aren't behind a paywall (minus the athletic but I checked there and didn't see anything like that).

I could, but I have that save on my laptop and I just built a PC and intend to mostly play there and im too lazy to move the file over. Its okay, I can just do it again the legit way now!

And I just checked, I made the playoffs 107 times and won the WS 78 of those times

I'm a Phils fan too - hyped for this season.

I watch over 100. Since the games are on mostly every day, it's great to turn on as background noise while chilling at home, making dinner, eating dinner, whatever. I usually make it out to between 5-10 games a year too. Luckily live 20 mins from Citizens Bank so that makes it easy.

I live in Claymont, Delaware which is the last exit on 95 before the PA border. Just hop on 95 for 20 mins and I'm there.

Ahhh okay, Philly is in the perfect location. My mom grew up in Cherry Hill which is close to Philly in Jersey and my dad was raised in Media, PA (right outside of Philly) before he moved to Philly himself.

That's awesome, the singer of my band lives in Cherry Hill and Media's got a couple awesome restaurants I go to here and there.

I love being close enough to make the drive up to Philly whenever. I saw you live down in Miami now?

    yeah good okay Prestigious

I really only accidentally became a Mariners fan a few years ago. I'm from San Diego and my NFL team is the Bengals (I know, doesn't make sense either). I've lived in Seattle since 2012 and unfortunately have experienced the full rise and fall of the obnoxious "12th Man" Seahawks fandom that forever put me off of the team.

My old job used to have me drive a lot and I'd get bored of music and turn on the Mariners game on the radio. Their radio guy (Rick Rizz) has such a relaxing voice that I found myself listening to the games every time I went into the field for work. And then listening to it in the office whenever I was doing reports. And then when I went to bed...and then playing it on a Bluetooth speaker whenever I showered...

It was then that I knew. I had stumbled into becoming a Mariners fan by virtue of Rick Rizz's radio voice. It's been downhill since then.

I watch probably about 90% of Indians games. I'll miss one here or there depending on work/life events, but for the most part, I have the Indians on every single night in my house. I'd be lying if I said I paid 100% attention to the first pitch to the last pitch (unless it's the playoffs) just due to how long the games are and whatever else I got going on, but I feel like baseball is the one sport you can kind of just have...on while you do other things throughout the house.

The last couple of years, I started to bring a TV out onto my patio on real nice nights and watch the games outside and it's beyond peaceful (unless the Indians are pissing me off).

That said, I don't watch too many other baseball games outside of the Indians (unless it's the playoffs) which is something that has changed since I was a child/teen. I used to watch/pay attention to other teams religiously but that all kind of stopped within the past 10 years or so. Growing up, MLB was my favorite sport, but it's easily behind NBA/NFL for me now and has been for a while.

I swear I thought a while back the radio portion used to be free and that’s what I only used because I loved the dodgers radio.

Crazy that total money wise there will never be a free agency that touches what was given out just in extensions this offseason
