Not surprised, they signed a bad deal

 

It's a joke with how long it's taking Harper and Machado to sign. It's a shame MLB can't do anything.

What do you mean? From the sounds of it both Machado and Harper have had amazing contracts on the table and have yet to accept it

Giving out 250mil dollars is complicated

 

Than why aren't they accepting them ? I feel like they are dragging it for no reason. I guess I'm just more frustrated as a fan

Wonder if either of them would sit out to start the season rather than accept a deal they dont want, i wonder if it would even come to that. part of me thinks machado signs somewhere before the end of january but harper i really have no clue.

I know the owners are shitty but the Manny/Bryce deserve just as much blame here. They both want the biggest contract in the sport and teams don’t think they deserve it.

I think they both came up too late and will have 6 more years still. The next CBA needs to figure out how to deal with service time manipulation. I don’t remember the particulars with Soto/Acuna, but the situations re: Kris Bryant and Vlad Guerroro Jr are ridiculous

6? Wow, even worse. I can't think of another major sports league that makes players wait that long.

How many times has a team gave out a massive contract and not regretted it years later?

Look, all I’m saying is both players are being just a stubborn as the teams. Neither guy wants to sign first because they want more than the other. They both want to be the highest paid players in the league. And as soon as they get those numbers, the next star is gonna want more. And it just going to keep escalating. I know I sound very pro-owner, and I don’t mean to be, but it’s competely understandable why they don’t want to do that.

The Nationals offered Bryce 300m. The White Sox have reportedly offered Manny 250m. Those are fair offers. And the players are stalling for more.

The owners are obviously shitty in a lot of ways. But they aren’t the only ones that deserve blame in this specific case.

 

I loved the red when they were the Friday special. They look really good at night for some reason. Less so during the day games on Sunday.

Also, the blue tops with “Atlanta” in red look dope.
