MLB.TV app is amazing with how they do commercial breaks and you can see the stats and who is coming up next.

real talk I think baseball is the only sport where I generally love the radio broadcast more than the tv broadcast.

and this is no disrespect to Joe Davis because I love that dude's calls on plays.

I really love our NHL radio broadcast but generally I agree with you.

    yeah good okay Prestigious

Same, but both are very relaxing for me. I can fold laundry with the game on TV; I can work with the game on radio.

  11. i have extremely vivid memories of listening baseball on the radio as a kid, huge part of my childhood + baseball fandom

I've always said my love for baseball came from those long drives back home from Palm Springs and my dad putting on dodgers games and hearing Vin Scully.

Where I'm from we didn't have TV growing up so the radio was basically our only way to listen to games.

I remember my dad would go out to his car and listen sometimes too when we couldn't get a strong signal inside.

I think I listened to baseball on the radio once as a kid, I had no idea what baseball was

I would still love Yankees games on radio if Sterling was less ridiculous and Suzyn Waldman had any other job on earth. Back in the day Sterling and Kay were more mellow and Kay was really good on radio.

    Noobie

yeah my diehard red sox roommate was trying to defend it (when he started making his statement last night I thought it was in response to him making fun of a fat guy, which I caught last night) and it's clear that he didn't mean completely what he said and it was poor phrasing....but what he actually meant is still pretty bad.

I don't follow baseball, but can someone explain to me why the Indians use Miller as a middle reliever (or is he there setup man?) and not a closer?
